Serial Number Lookup For Movado 60

Please use the following tables to help determine the approximate age of your watch. Remove or open the back cover from your watch and look for a number engraved into the movement; this is the serial number for your watch, and by using it, you can find the closest years it was made on these tables. Please note there is a difference between the number marked on the movement and the one marked on the case. These tables are only accurate for the movement serial numbers.

The serial number of your watch is engraved on the case at the 6 o'clock end between the lugs. You will need to remove the bracelet/strap to see it. The model reference is engraved in the same place at the 12 o'clock end. As of August 2010, serial numbers for new Rolex watches are randomized, making it impossible to use the numbers for dating purposes.

Recent Omega watches usually carry their serial number somewhere on the back but they will be in extremely small laser-etched digits requiring a magnifier to read. Older Omega watches may only have the serial number on the inside of the watch, requiring a jeweler to open it for you.

Buy with confidence by checking the serial number of any pre-owned watch against THE WATCH REGISTER database or asking if your seller has already done so. It is the simplest step to ensuring good title. Alternatively, if you have suffered the theft of a watch, registering it on THE WATCH REGISTER database will offer you the best chance of finding it in future.

Police officers, insurers, private individuals and the trade are encouraged to register lost and stolen watches on THE WATCH REGISTER database in order to maximise their chances of recovery. Watches must be registered with a serial number in order for them to be uniquely identifiable.

Like most manufacturers, Zenith engraves its watches with a unique serial number. The serial number has a number of benefits, including giving the manufacturer full control over each and every single timepiece that leaves the factory, but also being able to track them or report them stolen shall it be necessary. With that said, Zenith can get detailed information about a specific timepiece by looking at its serial number. As a matter of fact, Zenith provides an extract from the archives information about its timepieces, but more on that later-

In ordering an extract from the archives from Zenith, they will ask you to provide the movement and case serial numbers of your timepieces. Furthermore, they will need photographs taken from the front, from the back, and of its movement. The Extract document is available in English and French.
